Add contacts: Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the Supplier Data Table

    • Go to the Collect / Supplier Data.
    • You’ll see a list of all your suppliers imported from your purchase data.
  2. Select Suppliers to Engage

    • Check the box next to each supplier you want to engage. You can only add contacts to suppliers marked for engagement.
    • A toolbar will appear at the top of the table.

  3. Click “Collect Data”

    • In the toolbar, select Collect Data.
    • Choose which type of data you want to request (e.g., corporate carbon footprint, decarbonization initiatives, etc.).
    • Once done, the suppliers you selected will show a status of Needs Contacts.

  4. Switch to the “Contacts Needed” Tab

    • From the top navigation or side panel, click Contacts Needed.
    • Here, you’ll see only the suppliers that require contact information.

  5. Add Contacts (Bulk Upload or Manual Entry)

    • Bulk select the suppliers you want to add contacts for.
    • Click Add Contacts in the upper-right corner.

    • File Upload: Use the provided Excel template to list each supplier’s name, contact name, job title, email, and phone number. Then upload it.
    • Manual Entry: Enter the same details directly in the form for one or more contacts.

  6. Review and Confirm

    • After uploading or entering contacts, you’ll see a preview to ensure your file columns match the required fields (supplier name, email, etc.).
    • Make any corrections if cells are highlighted in red or if you notice incorrect mappings.
    • Click Submit to finish adding the contacts.
    • Once saved, contacts move those suppliers to a Ready to Engage status.

Manage Contacts

  1. In Collect / Supplier data, switch to the Engagement tab.

  2. Locate the table under the Engagement Funnel.

  3. Switch to the Contacts tab of the table.

    From here you can add more contacts or download the contacts in the table.
