Integrating Emitwise with your systems allows you to automate data flow, eliminating manual entry and reducing the risk of errors. Integrations save your team time and effort.
Integrations allow you to visualise your Emitwise data wherever you want to - PowerBI, Tableau dashboards, procurement tools so it's available right where your team works.
How to
If you are interested in integrations, we recommend setting a call with your IT team to discuss the options together and review the data in question.
Options available
#1 - Snowflake database integration
This option is preferred if your data is centralised in a Snowflake database.
- First, we have a meeting to review your data schema and make sure you have all the data we need to calculate emissions
- Your team provides us with your Snowflake account details
- Our team creates a “data share” and share your data so it lands in your Snowflake instance. This should take ~1 day max.
- You accept the data share: you can now see your data in your Snowflake database
- We verify that you can see the data correctly
- Here’s a guide on Snowflake data shares: https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/data-sharing-intro
- Using this option, you can export your Emissions data (raw data, classification and calculated emissions) and your Procurewise data (suppliers scorecards, carbon maturity, emission factor)
Example: One of our biggest clients uses a Snowflake integration to get Procurewise data back into their Snowflake database. They then create dashboards in PowerBI to communicate the impact of their Procurewise campaigns on their clients.
#2 - API integration
This option works with any system or database.
- We provide your team access to generate authentication keys
- Your IT team creates a simple backend service to get data from our system and store it in your desired situation. This should take them < 1 week.
- Here's our API documentation: https://docs.emitwise.com/
- Using this option, you can export your Procurewise data (suppliers scorecards, carbon maturity, emission factor)
