Inviting and assigning data owners

Assigning data owners ensures each facility and activity type has a clear point of contact.

  4. Set the Task Status

    • If you need them to upload manual data files, mark the status as Not Started.
    • If data will come through an integration or Use Spend route, indicate that here.
  5. Notify the Assignee

    • When you save, Emitwise sends the assigned data owner a task assignment notification.
    • They can click a link in the email to access their tasks directly.

Common Issues/Tips

  • Tip: Assign data owners promptly to avoid confusion about who’s responsible.
  • Pitfall: Leaving tasks unassigned can create delays, as no one is explicitly responsible for data submission.

Conclusion

You’ve assigned a dedicated data owner (or owners) to each relevant task, ensuring accountability and clarity. Next, you can instruct these individuals on how to upload data or check out your overall project progress.
