You may have already calculated Product Carbon Footprints using another methodology or external consultancy. This guide shows you how to import those calculations into Emitwise for unified management and easier sharing with customers.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to the Product Carbon Footprint section

    • From Profile, select Product Carbon Footprint.
  2. Click on “Import PCFs”

    • You’ll see a modal explaining how to map your PCF spreadsheet columns to Emitwise’s format.

  3. Use the Provided Template (Optional)

    • Ensure your file includes columns like Product Name, SKU, PCF Intensity, Transport Intensity, Declared Unit, Geography of Manufacture, Year of the PCF, etc.

  4. Attach Supporting Documentation

    • If your PCFs are third-party verified, upload the verification certificate.
    • Include any methodology reports explaining how you derived the numbers.
  5. Submit for Review

    • Once your file is uploaded and mapped correctly, click Submit.
    • Emitwise’s experts will validate the data and notify you if corrections are needed.
