What are "direct" and "indirect" emissions?
Emissions you produce vs. emissions from the energy you use
"Direct emissions" are greenhouse gases that come directly from your production processes, like the CO2 released when heating materials.
"Indirect emissions" mainly refer to emissions from producing the electricity you use in your facility.
Think of direct as the emissions you make, and indirect as the emissions made by others to provide you with energy.
