Common Issues & Tips
- Duplicate suppliers: If a supplier appears multiple times under different names, you can merge them by clicking on Edit supplier and entering the same website.
- Not sure which data to request? Most users start with Corporate Carbon Footprint and Decarbonization Data to gain a baseline and understand targets, but it depends on your objective and supply chain makeup. If you purchase physical goods and have a target to reduce Scope 3 emissions, you should collect Product Carbon Footprint Data.
Conclusion
You’ve now selected which data types to collect from your suppliers, setting a solid foundation to understand their climate initiatives and carbon impact. As a next step, consider adding supplier contacts so you can send out data requests and automatically screen for public disclosures.
